We are about to embark on the next phase of our ROC journey. We have now successfully assumed operation of 427 Esso sites in the UK and Ireland. No mean feat we’re sure you’ll agree; and we did it in style. Be it a converted “Snack & Shop” or a newly constructed “On The Run,” we know that ROC (Retail Operating Company) are well on the way to fulfilling our vision to be the best refreshment and refuelling operation.
And it’s not just us that think so. We have recently accepted the Best Forecourt Retailer 2007 award for our UK “On The Run” stores as part of the Checkout Convenience Awards. We are setting the trends for convenience retailing and leading the field!
However, we would never have achieved all this and more without our people. We have just finished our 2007 ROC employee survey which collated responses from our Sales Advisers right up to our Territory Managers. Our employees have made us what we are today and their feedback is as important as the opinions of our customers. We needn’t have worried however; 72% of those surveyed enjoy working for ROC - a figure that we will look to improve on year on year.
The next era is ahead of us. We have rolled-out across the UK and Ireland without a hitch and we are looking forward to our continued success. With everything we have achieved in the last four years just imagine what the future will hold for ROC…
