Sales Advisers
You don’t need bucket loads of retail experience to join us as a Sales Adviser. It’s all about having a winning way with customers and a passion for delivering the finest and friendliest customer service, day in, day out.
What’s more, variety comes with the territory. One minute you’ll be helping a customer to refuel; the next, you’re serving up a delicious latte. Of course, it’s not just your work that’s varied – it’s the people you meet and serve. As well as your regular customers (of which we have many!), you’ll meet hundreds of new ones every week. And because you’re upbeat and friendly, you’ll make a real difference to their day.
You’re level-headed and responsible: safety is top of the agenda on our forecourts and in the stores themselves, and it’ll be part of your job to look out for health and safety hazards. We’ll also expect you to be conscientious about handling takings, and keeping the store well-stocked and clean throughout the day and night.
Shifts to suit.
Because many of our stores are open 24 hours, we’ve a wide variety of shifts available, full and part-time. If it’s flexibility that you’re after, we’re sure we can find a shift to suit you. It all depends on what’s available in a location near you. Getting in touch is the best way to find out.
Career prospects? And then some.
Want to build a career in retail store management? Then you couldn’t get off to a better start. Many of our Supervisors, Store Managers and even some Territory Managers started out as Sales Advisers – it’s a fantastic way to build up your know-how and experience.
From there on, we’ll give you the support you need. And that support begins the day you join us. During your first week you’ll attend a two day training course to start you off. You’ll also be given a training workbook to work through step-by-step as you learn more about the business and the role of a Sales Adviser.
Because it’s all on paper, you’ll know what’s expected of you, and when you’re supposed to have achieved it. And when you complete your workbook successfully, there’s the opportunity to be rewarded with a pay increase. From there, if management is your aim, regular reviews with your Store Manager means that when you’re ready to move up a level (and a suitable opportunity arises), you’ll be encouraged to go for it.
